Tomi Ungerer Study

A ten minute sketch of one of my favorite iillustrations by French artist Tomi Ungerer:

 

He's best known for a lot of erotic and political illustrations but it's the really macabre stuff that appeals to me most.  This one in particular is a very inspirational piece and was the initial inspiration for my zombie rabbit character.  I may be using this as reference in one of the illustrations I want to do at the moment.

I couldn't find any images of the original on the internet so I still have a battered photocopy I made from a couple years back. :L
